We spent years stopping strangers in the street and asking them the questions most people avoid.

What surprised us wasn't that they answered. It was how fast they did and how often they said afterwards that no one had ever asked them that before. Not their friends. Not their family. Sometimes not anyone. We kept thinking about the people who never get stopped by a camera crew.
